Coming From Canada eh?

For Our International Love Brigade

We understand that joining us in Australia is no small feat—it's a long journey that requires considerable time and planning.

But if you can make it, we promise to make your trip worthwhile! Not only will you be part of our unforgettable wedding celebration, but you'll also have the chance to explore the stunning landscapes, unique wildlife, and vibrant culture Australia has to offer.

This isn't just a wedding; it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience in one of the most extraordinary places on Earth. We would be incredibly honoured and touched to share this special chapter of our lives with you, here, in this amazing setting.

So why not make a holiday out of it? Our wedding is the perfect excuse for you to explore the "Land Down Under," from its awe-inspiring coasts to its bustling cities and beyond. Trust us; it'll be a journey you'll cherish forever.

Your presence would be the greatest gift of all, and we're here to assist in any way we can to make this voyage a reality for you.

Journey to the Land Down Under

Your Flight Booking Guide

We know that venturing to Australia is a big step, but we promise it'll be worth every mile flown! To make your travel planning a breeze, we've compiled some key pointers on booking your flights to the land of kangaroos and koalas.

Timing is Everything

Flights to Australia are typically available 12 months in advance, and given that summer is peak season, we strongly recommend booking as soon as you can. While summer months can be busy, demand usually drops slightly in February, offering potentially lower rates.

Choosing Your AirPort

Australia has several international gateways, but the closest airport to our wedding venue is Melbourne. Sydney is another viable option. In many cases, international flights will land in Sydney, which is just a short 45-minute connecting flight away from Melbourne.

Budget Friendly Tips

If you're looking for budget-friendly flight options, consider flying through Air Philippines. Additionally, you can use flight comparison platforms like Google Flights or specialised deal-finding websites like Australia's I Know The Pilot to score some cost-effective travel routes.

Learn the Local Dialect

We know you're flying halfway across the globe for our special day, so we thought we'd give you a leg up on some quintessential Aussie slang to help you fit right in when you rock up.

"How ya going? "- No, nobody's asking about your direction. This is the Aussie version of "How are you?"

"Gonna have a squiz" - Relax, no one's talking about going for a wee! It simply means to have a quick look.

"Rock up" - You're not joining a band; this just means to arrive, preferably not on 'Canadian time.'

"Dead horse" - Spoiler: it's not an animal or an insult. It's what Aussies call ketchup. Goes great on a meat pie!

"You beauty!" - No, you're not suddenly a supermodel. This is an exclamation used when something is just awesome.

So, come prepared to talk the talk as we walk down the aisle. It's going to be a ripper of a time!
